Job Description

The Executive Director Digital Marketing, Sales, and Care has the following responsibilities:

  • Support opcos on: o Setting up and executing effective digital marketing o Transforming OpCo websites to an effective ecommerce channel
  • Driving uptake and engagement of opco apps for Digital Care o Setting up a leading marketing analytics and attribution team, platform and way of work, for ROI driven marketing
  • Co-create multi-year digital transformation plan for each OpCo and set corresponding KPIs
  • Support hiring, firing and evaluation of OpCo commercial CxOs
  • Discussion partner for OpCo management on digital sales, marketing, and care
  • Take interim management roles when required 
  • Represent group commercial on OpCo BoDs
  • Identify key data to track across markets to support everything above 

Stakeholders

  • Group Management Committee and OpCo Management teams o CFOs – for digital commercial recommendations related to investments, budgets and plans
  • CTOs – to provide digital commercial input on technology investments, roadmaps and plans o CEOs with recommendations on people, skills, key projects, and digital investments o CCO / CMO / COO for discussions, recommendations, and approval of the multi-year digital transformation plan, digital strategies, investments, and more 
  •  Management and direction of vendors / suppliers
  • Manage the mobile sales and marketing relationship with Facebook and Google
  • Relationships and managing digital marketing, development, UI/UX agencies 
  • Discussions with strategic partners Decision Making 
  • Provides recommendations to GMC, GLT, GCC, OpCo Boards and OpCo CxOs / CEOs on:
  • Review and recommend for approval / denial of Group and OpCo digital transformation plans and targets
  • Review and recommend for approval / denial of key digital commercial investments
  • Provide recommendations to GMC, GLT, and BoDs on escalated digital commercial issues
  • Approval of processes, policies, and procedures related to digital strategy, digital marketing, sales, and care, digital transformation planning, and digital commercial investments 
  • Review and recommend hiring, firing and evaluation of OpCo management leading digital marketing, sales, and care 

Experience 
 

  • Chief Digital Officer in a leading Telco
  • Country head of an ecommerce company (e.g., Alibaba, amazon)
  • 20+ years experience
  • Bachelor Degree from a top tier university with high marks
  • Master’s degree is a plus
  • Degree in Computer science is a plus
  • English mandatory, another language spoken in one of our OpCos is a plus
